Fabric

I had an assignment to photograph fabric paying attention to texture, depth of field, color design, composition point of view, and focus. Two had to be photographed in studio and one photographed using available or natural light (the sun). My ISO could not be over 400 and I had to use a focal length between 60mm and 120 mm. I know it sounds difficult, but it had fun shooting it and I am pleased with the outcome!

  1. Adelyn - all I can say about these images is "Sweet!" I really liked all of them. The top image should remind us of Kevin's teaching about lighting a cube (highlight side, shadow side, etc), the middle image shows wonderful draping and the bottom image with the side lighting really accentuates the texture. Very nice work!
